For Tomy Turbo/Irwin Turbo+, Life-Like M/Rokar, A.F.X Mega-G MG17 X & Tyco/Mattel chassis with Open-wheel bodies.

LifeLike M/Rokar X:

Must be run with standard Lifelike/Rokar 'red' armature or skewed powertracker version. Pickup springs, shoes, brush holders, brush springs and brushes must be original Lifelike/Rokar items only, they may be reshaped but no material may be added or removed.

Motor dust guard may be removed.

Guide pin must be original Arii/Lifelike/Galoob/Rokar/Cox item, no material may be added. Wear must be by natural means only.

Pinion must be original Arii/Lifelike/Galoob/Rokar/Cox item, no material may be removed or added. Gluing to motor shaft not permitted.  

Rear axle & crown must be original Arii/Lifelike/Galoob/Rokar/Cox items, no material may be added or removed, no additional spacers permitted.                                                                                                                             

Front axle must be original Arii/Lifelike/Galoob/Rokar/Cox item, no material may be added or removed. No spacers permitted.                                                                                       

Tyres must be single compound and black in colour. Sidewall writing and detailing based on real open wheel tyres is permitted. Tyres may be re-profiled. O-rings may not be used as front tyres.

You may use any type of wheels, no sharp edges will be permitted.

Motor magnets must be original Arii/Lifelike/Galoob/Rokar/Cox items, no material may be added or removed.

No part of the chassis may be cut, sanded, drilled or otherwise interfered with. All wear must be by natural means only, no components may be glued in place.

Bodies must be open-wheel & constructed entirely of cast resin or plastics. No bodies may be glued to the chassis or any of it's components.

A.F.X (Racemasters) Mega G:

For Stock F1, only the MG17 versions are legal, but both the MKI and MKII are allowed.

Must be run with standard Mega-G armature. Electrical tabs may be reshaped but no material removed or added. Internals of motor must not be altered.

Pickup springs and shoes must be original Mega-G items only, they may be reshaped but no material may be added or removed.

Brush barrels must be original Mega-G items, unaltered, you may use any make of brush and brush spring.

Guide pin must be original Mega-G item, no material may be added. Wear must be by natural means only.

Pinion must be original Mega-G item, no material may be removed or added. Gluing to motor shaft not permitted.          

Rear axle, crown gear and spacer must be either Mega-G or Tomy original items, no material may be added or removed, no additional spacers permitted.                                                                                                                             

Front axles must be metal, and solid, no material may be added, axle width may be altered but no spacers are permitted.                                      

Tyres must be single compound and black in colour. Sidewall writing and detailing based on real open wheel tyres is permitted. Tyres may be re-profiled. O-rings may be used as front tyres.

You may use any type of wheels, no sharp edges will be permitted.

Traction magnets must be stock Mega-G items, no material may be added or removed. MKII chassis may not have magnet tabs removed.

Height of rear tyres/wheels combined must not be less than 11.506mm (0.453'')

Motor Magnets must be original Mega-G items no material may be added or removed.

No part of the chassis may be cut, sanded, drilled or otherwise interfered with. All wear must be by natural means only, no components may be glued in place.

Bodies must be open-wheel & constructed entirely of cast resin or plastics. All wings must be intact, but may be re-profiled and may be re-enforced. No bodies may be glued to the chassis or any of it's components. Unaltered Panoz DP01 bodies from A.F.X can only run at meetings declared 'Mega-G compliant' (check schedule).

At meetings where the track is not declared Mega-G compliant, the front wing must not exceed a width of 24.9mm (0.980'')

At meetings where the track is not declared Mega-G compliant, chassis must be fitted with a Wizzard front axle assembly with O-rings (part # WS13B) set to a maximum width of Width of 31.35mm (1.234'')

Tomy Turbo/Irwin Turbo+:

Must be run with 'red can' type motor as per (see this picture). Electrical tabs may be reshaped but no material removed or added. Internals of motor must not be altered.

Motor clip must be fitted and be totally unaltered.

Pickup springs, shoes and busses must be original Tomy only, they may be reshaped but no material may be added or removed.

Guide pin must be original Tomy Turbo item, no material may be added. Wear must be by natural means only.

Pinion must be original Tomy Turbo item, no material may be removed or added. Gluing to motor shaft not permitted.          

Motor dust guard, Axle retainer & bulbs (where fitted) may be removed.

Rear axle, crown gear and spacer must be either Tomy Turbo or Tomy SRT original item, no material may be added or removed, no additional spacers permitted.                                                                                                                             

Front axles must be original Tomy Turbo item, no material may be added or removed. No spacers permitted.

Bodies must be constructed entirely of cast resin or plastics. Tyco F1 bodies with two wing-posts may be repaired in the way shown in the four pictures below. No bodies may be glued directly to the chassis or any of it's components. Tyco bodies may run with front wings removed, wings may be re-enforced.

This class is intended to cater for one body style, taps into the huge choice of bodies, and is for the following chassis:

Autoworld Super III, Tomy SG+, Life-Like T and M chassis, Rokar X, Tomy Turbo/Irwin Turbo+, Tyco/Mattel chassis. Bodies must be of a shape & colour scheme matching a real Nascar that has raced (not just practiced).

Tomy SG+:

Must be run with unmodified 'red' Tomy armature. Brush housing electrical tabs may be reshaped but no material removed or added. Brush housing, motor brace, bearing & motor magnets must not be altered.

Traction magnet clip must be fitted and be totally unaltered.

Pickup springs, shoes and busses must be original Tomy only, they may be reshaped but no material may be added or removed.

Guide pin must be original Tomy SG+ item, no material may be added. Wear must be by natural means only.

Pinion must be original Tomy item, no material may be removed or added. Gluing to motor shaft not permitted.          

Motor dust guard, Axle retainer & bulbs (where fitted) may be removed.

Rear axle, crown gear and spacer must be original Tomy item, no material may be added or removed, no additional spacers permitted. Crown gear must have 25 or 22 teeth.

Tyres must be single compound and black in colour. Sidewall writing and detailing based on real Nascar tyres is permitted. Tyres may be re-profiled. O-rings may not be used as front tyres.

Traction magnets must be original Tomy SG+ items, black (click here) with factory notch or light grey (click here) in colour with factory notch and 2 dots, no material may be added or removed.

No part of the chassis may be cut, sanded, drilled or otherwise interfered with. All wear must be by natural means only, no components may be glued in place.

Use of original Tomy body clip permitted when using closed wheel bodies, but clip must not be altered in any way.

Bodies must be closed-wheel & constructed entirely of cast resin or plastics. They must be representations of Nascars that have actually run. Bodies may be altered but only to permit fitment to chassis. No bodies may be glued directly to the chassis or any of it's components, use of a Buddy Clip no1 is permitted.

Life-Like T:

Must be run with standard T motor. Pickup springs, shoes, brush holders, brush springs and brushes must be original Lifelike T items only, they may be reshaped but no material may be added or removed.

Motor dust guard may be removed.

Guide pin must be original Lifelike T item, no material may be added. Wear must be by natural means only.

Pinion must be original Lifelike T item, no material may be removed or added. Gluing to motor shaft not permitted.  

Rear axle & crown must be original Lifelike T items, no material may be added or removed, no additional spacers permitted.                                                                                                                             

Front axle must be original Lifelike T item, no material may be added or removed. No spacers permitted.                                      

Tyres must be single compound and black in colour. Sidewall writing and detailing based on real Nascar tyres is permitted. Tyres may be re-profiled. O-rings may not be used as front tyres.

You may use any type of wheels, no sharp edges will be permitted.

Magnets must be original Lifelike T items, no material may be added or removed.

No part of the chassis may be cut, sanded, drilled or otherwise interfered with. All wear must be by natural means only, no components may be glued in place.

Bodies must be closed-wheel & constructed entirely of cast resin or plastics. No bodies may be glued to the chassis or any of it's components. COT-style bodies must start races with a full rear wing in the correct place.

Tomy Turbo/Irwin Turbo+: As per F1 rules (except body)

Tyco/Mattel chassis: As per F1 rules (except body)

LifeLike M/Rokar X:

Guide pin must be original Super III item, no material may be added. Wear must be by natural means only.

Pinion must be original Super III item, no material may be removed or added. Gluing to motor shaft not permitted.  

Axles & crown gear may be any make, excluding hollow axles and metal gears. Axles and crown must be made by the same manufacturer. Mo material may be added or removed, additional spacers are permitted.                                                                                                                             

Front tyres must be original Super III items & may be re-profiled.                                                  

Tyres must be single compound and black in colour. Sidewall writing and detailing based on real Nascar tyres is permitted. Tyres may be re-profiled. O-rings may not be used as front tyres.

'Pro' is open class. 'Mod' is intended for 'Toy' based chassis with their original magnets and still using hard bodies, with freedom to play with gears, axles etc.

Rules for both classes:

If there are less than 4 entries to both Pro Mod and Mod, the classes will be combined for purposes of the finals. In this instance, the highest place Mod finisher will score maximum points for the Mod class, and also get Pro Mod points. If there are four (or more) of both, finals will be separated.

No motor bearings allowed.

Electrical tabs may be reshaped but no material removed or added.

One guide device per car.

Axles may  be any make, but must be metal.

Tyres must be single compound and black in colour. Sidewall writing and detailing based on real racing tyres is permitted. Tyres may be re-profiled.

O-rings may be used as front tyres.

Bodies must be closed-wheel, and based on a real race car. Where wings were featured on the real car, they must be present.

Bodies must feature accurate or at least prototypical race car colour schemes. Windows should be clear or painted to contrast with body.

Maximum 2 traction magnets and two motor magnets per car.

Shunts are not permitted.
