Rules for 2008 meetings

 

1.0 FEES

 1.1 Race Fees are £5 to race all day, £2.50 for a half day (Members) and £6.50/£3.00 (Non-Members)

 1.2 Children 8 and under race for free.

 1.3 Fees must be paid in advance.

2.0 FORMAT

 2.1 The Meeting is scheduled to start at 10.00am with free practice 30 minutes beforehand. The afternoon session will start 30-60 mins after the end of the morning session.

 2.2 You must book in to race at least 10 minutes before racing commences. If you are unable to do so in person you must text race control on 07754 655761 at least 15 minutes before hand.

 2.3 The racing will be made up of Open-Wheel cars in the & morning closed-wheel cars in the afternoon

 2.4 Each ''race'' will be of 3 minute duration unless race control should decide otherwise.

 2.5 Each "race" will consist of 4 qualifying heats, one on each lane, (scores from best 3 heats count towards qualifying). Any race where three or more cars de-slot in a 'mutual' incident on the opening lap will be restarted.

 2.6 Qualifying will lead to a series of class finals. The amount of finals per class will be determined by the number of entries, but a class will only take place if there are a minimum of two competitors intending to race in a class final.

 2.7 Winners of 'A' Finals were there are 3 or 4 competitors will receive a trophy, medal or other prize as determined by EAHORC.

 2.8 Championship points for each class are awarded as follows: 160-130-110-90-70-50-40-30-20-10-5, except Stock F1 class where the points are awarded as follows: 160-130-110-90-80-70-60-50-40-35-30-25-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2-1. Points accrued will also be transferred to the main EAHORC championship, the EAHORC cup (E-Cup for Short), allowing drivers who target one championship to compete with those who do not.

 2.9 Competitors may only count their best nine scores in any given class. A missed event will score 0 points. Points will only transfer to the EAHORC cup in classes where there were 4 or more competitors. Five scores or less will count towards a 'Minor' Championship ( Click here for latest tables)

 2.10 The winner of the 'A' finals will be declared the winner, with 2nd to the second placed driver and so on.

3.0 MARSHALLING

Each competitor is to make themselves PROMPTLY available to marshal or run race control whenever requested to do so by the organisers.

4.0 ALLOWED CLASSES (click for details)

Note: A.F.X refers to the new Racemasters chassis, Aurora and AFX the older Aurora chassis.

 4.1 AM: Stock F1 , Open wheel

 4.2 PM: NASCAR (formerly Nextel Cup) , Modified (formerly Can Class) , Wizzard Class , Sports/GTLamborghini class

5.0 MISCELLANEOUS

 5.1 You may use your own controller. These must be fitted with 3-pin, 2 amp plugs and wired to the BSCRA standard:

5.2 No part of the car can exceed 34mm in width and 17mm from centreline to sides.

5.3 Non-standard shims or spacers are not allowed on any cars other than those in Modified class.

6.0 MAINTENANCE

 6.1 Tyres may only be cleaned with tape or by washing in water.

 6.2 NO spray oils/lubricants or cleaners to be used indoors. Use of Lighter fluid or any form of tyre treatments are not allowed. The organisers reserve the right to request competitors to use less lubricants if they feel it interferes with others or the condition of the track.
